Bies Whiskey Polish Wine Cask Finish – Chardonnay Edition in the result of our pursuit of an exceptional spirit – one that’s delicate, yet layered and full of character. We selected a five-year-old distillate from Northern Ireland and finished it for six months in a cask that previously held Polish Chardonnay wine.
We are likely among the first, if not the very first, to experiment with aging whiskey in Polish wine casks.
For this edition of Bies, we used 250-liter Slavonian oak barrels that previously held Chardonnay from Turnau Vineyard in Baniewice.

The Bies Chardonnay Edition was named the best whiskey in a blind tasting at the first Poznań Whisky Festival and won a silver medal at both The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) and the Warsaw Spirit Competition in 2024.
